Suven Life gets two more US patents for NCEs

The two molecules in the CNS arena, which are being developed for cognitive disorders, have an estimated $20 billion market potential globally. With these two patents, Suven now has a total of four granted US patents on NCEs. In a filing to the BSE on Monday, Suven Life said the granted claims of the patents included the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by the company and were being developed as therapeutic agents and are used in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer"s disease, attention deficient hyperactivity disorder, Huntington"s disease, Parkinson and Schizophrenia. The scrip of Suven Life is currently trading at Rs 31.55 on the BSE, up 4.99 per cent as against the previous close of Rs 30.05.
