The US Food and Drug Administrator (USFDA) has granted approval for the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for the generic version of Acular, which is also known as Ketotrolac Tromethamine Opthalmic Solution, Sun Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
US-based drug firm Allergan Inc has patent rights over Ketotrolac Tromethamine Opthalmic Solution and the company is selling the drug under the brand Acular.
The drug is indicated for the temporary relief of ocular itching due to seasonal allergic conductivities, it said.
