Public CompanyOmfed packets to harp on energy conservation
As part of the energy conservation awareness, Orissa State Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation (Omfed) launched packets of milk sold by it with a message on energy conservation.

Suresh Chnadra Mohapatra, chairman, Omfed launched the milk packets with the energy conservation message in the presence of the senior officials of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), state energy department and OMFED.
Since, the milk producers co-operative body sells about 8 lakh packets per day, the initiative will convey a great message to the people including the children. Speaking on the occasion, state energy secretary P K Jena said, Raghurajpur in Puri district and Satyabhamapur in Cuttack district have been adopted as light-emitting diode (LED) villages. The government is in discussion with some agencies to adopt some districts in the state as LED districts.
