Nationalist Congress Party"s (NCP) Maharashtra unit chief R R Patil today said that the party intends to fight forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections in alliance with Congress.

"The alliance is inevitable. If few Congress leaders talk of going alone for the next elections, they have specified that it is their personal opinion and not their party"s," Patil clarified.
Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister is in Goa to reorganise Sharad Pawar-led party in the state.
Patil said that "the talks for seat sharing between both the parties would begin at the right time."
"This is not the time and we should not decide so early because it may create ripple amongst the party cadre," he added.
