The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, commissioning of super-critical boilers and civil and architectural work, the filing added. L&T"s advanced supercritical thermal sets would ensure higher plant efficiencies and lower greenhouse gas emissions, thus introducing a new and green era of environment friendly power generation, it said. The Rs 6,897-crore order from Maharashtra State Power Generation follows a Rs 4,000 crore order received weeks earlier from Jaypee Industries for 2x600 MW supercritical equipment, it added. Shares of Larsen & Toubro were trading at Rs 1,574 on BSE in morning trade, up 0.44 per cent from its previous close.
