The net profit increased 3% to Rs 998.52 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 966.76 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a filing to the BSE. The company"s total income up 24% at Rs 10,835.79 crore from Rs 8,737.21 crore.
