Areva T&D India, an arm of French firm Areva, today said it has bagged a Rs 150-crore order from central transmission utility PowerGrid for executing a 765 KV substation.

"Areva T&D India has recently won an order worth Rs 150 crore from PowerGrid Corp for executing a 765 KV extra high voltage substation at Jaiti Kalan in Delhi," a company statement said.
"We are confident that the localisation program initiated at our new plants with T&D equipment built and serviced locally, is a key differentiator that will help us to build the 765 KV extra high voltage substation," Rathin Basu, Country President and Managing Director, AREVA T&D India, said.
